“Our
mission in discussing how to provide such assistance was not to discount the
overall need for the funds that are required to have a successful organization,
but to promote the overall teamwork/fraternity approach and leave no one out
simply due to personal financial circumstances. We feel strongly that such a
plan can unite those in the ITT Student body that desire to participate in this
fantastic organization as well as opening the door and allowing those that
would have not been possible otherwise due to individual financial
circumstances the opportunity of becoming involved with Delta Beta Lambda.”
After discussion, the decision was made to waive the $99.00 pledge fee and the $225.00 initiation fee for one year.
“This will allow the
Chapter/ Fraternity to organize fundraisers as to pay the individual fees as a
group. This approach will create camaraderie amongst Chapter Members and
relieve the immediate personal financial burden. The only fee the student will
need to pay upon application is the $25.00 application fee. What will be required
is a promise of dedication to achieving their educational goals and to
participate, promote and suggest fundraisers held by their Chapter of Delta
Beta Lambda Fraternity”.
The $25.00 application will be still be required upon submission of application, along with required documentation on Grade Point average.
We hope this decision will enable the Greenville Chapter to form quickly and flourish and we all look forward to playing a part in this key piece of Delta Beta Lambda Fraternity History.
